GEMMA HAPPE

Gemma qualified as an Osteopath in 2002, having trained at the London School of Osteopathy (LSO) and gaining a BSc (Ost) Hons.

Straight away she agreed to stay at the LSO and teach the final year and did this until her daughter was born in 2007.

Since qualifying she has been lucky to work with Crawley, Charlton and West Ham football club. She has also been involved in the treatment & rehabilitation of professional dancers, British and Olympic equestrian teams, as well as treating members of the band "Massive Attack", whilst touring in London.

Gemma took over Chertsey Osteopathic clinic in 2007 & since then it has grown from strength to strength with Lisa & Georges's support. They are a hard working and professional team, who will endeavour to get their patient's treated, rehabilitated & back onto the road of recovery as quickly as possible.

LISA WIGGLESWORTH

After a 20year career as a professional dancer, during which time the inevitable injuries led to a broad experience of osteopathic treatment as a patient, Lisa decided that on retirement from the dance profession she wanted to become an Osteopath and be able to help others just as she had.

Lisa gained my BScHons in Osteopathy at the LSO over 12 years ago, where she continues to be an examiner and teacher of the current students throughout their 5 year degree. Lisa is also an assistant lecturer on the post graduate paediatric cranial course.

She spent the first half of her osteopathic career treating a broad spectrum of patients in several established clinics and also established her own clinic in Chiswick. Lisa treated a wide range of injuries across all age groups including sports professionals, postural issues, work and age related issues, and general everyday injuries.

After having her two children she decided to undertake post graduate training specialising in the pre-natal and paediatric field. This involves using gentle non-invasive cranial osteopathic techniques and can be used on adults, teenagers , children and new born babies.

Lisa loves the broad range of patients she see's in clinic from the elderly, to sports professionals to new born babies.

GEORGE DURDEN

George completed a four-year Masters of Osteopathy (M.Ost) degree at the London School of Osteopathy and is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council. George has a wide-ranging and compressive knowledge and skill base which enables him to treat and manage a diverse range of patient demographics including young and old people, manual workers, office professionals, pregnant women and sports people. Patients seek treatment for a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including low back pain, pelvic pain, hip pain, neck and shoulder pain, knee pain, postural problems caused by work related strains, the pain of arthritis and minor sports injuries.

George also has a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy which enables him to adapt his treatment approach to the individual needs of the patient and uses different manual therapy techniques and self-care advice to achieve this. As well as treating general musculoskeletal conditions George has a specialist interest in the treatment of both amateur and elite athletes and the treatment of individuals experiencing the effects of repetitive movement overuse injuries.

The decision to study osteopathy came from the wide-range of successful osteopathic treatments received for the inevitable sporting and repetitive injuries he sustained during his time as a full-time athlete in the sport of canoeing. Studying osteopathy at Masters level has allowed him to develop a systematic and comprehensive understanding of all aspects of health care provision and to practice with both common and complex musculoskeletal issues both systematically and creatively with his patients.
